(first, i'm french speaking so I may do a few writing mistakes....) My Project : Need a product catalog that shows product with image (thumbnail too), description and specs. You can see our old html pages : http://www.machineriecontinental.ca/new/menunew.htm (These are the machines we sell) need for : Categories The main problem is the langage I need the database to seperate the categories in french and English So, the menu tree would take in consideration the language of destination. Maybe a button in admin that ask Show this product in : English / French So we only see the machine in the good part of the site while only the menu tree of the good part of the site shows the category. (hope my english is ok) Highlight page of the product : Name of the machine Model company logo of the machine + link to the website Full produt : Name of the machine Model company logo of the machine + link to the website Bullet type for adding features The ability to write spects in a table that is very customisable (example : http://www.machineriecontinental.ca/new/radialarmsawv154.htm) The ability to have a box that says RELATED PRODUCT as we sometimes have mainly the size and the motor force that changes from a machine to another. Fully searchable SEoptimised (good metas and/or ability to add keywords) The ability to put the needed code in a template easily (my design i worked with dreamweaver) If you know K2News management system, I only take small codes to put in the pages where I want to show things... Could be other things I'm missing but basically, its a way to get red of the old non-searchable html pages of the site in the new design I'll make with a simple administration my client could log on secure and change the things he need to be changed AND make sure meta-names title etc.. are ok and the site entirely searchable |
